At Danbar Automotive, we are committed to providing top-notch services and ensuring customer satisfaction with our comprehensive warranty program. Here are the details of our warranty coverage:

Warranty Coverage
All Repairs:

Coverage Period: 12 months or 20,000 kilometres, whichever comes first.
All Servicing:
-
Coverage Period: 6 months or 10,000 kilometres, whichever comes first.
Second-hand Parts:

Coverage Period: Generally 3 months, dependent on the supplier. Please confirm the specific details with your Service Centre at the time of work.

Note: If a part is found to be faulty during the warranty period, labour costs for removal and replacement will be charged to the customer. Faulty workmanship is covered for the same duration as the part warranty but only applies to genuine workmanship issues, not to replace a faulty part or other mechanical issues.

The Danbar Automotive Warranty covers all parts supplied and fitted by Danbar Automotive and all workmanship performed by our team. Our warranty applies to the State of Tasmania only.

Australian Consumer Law
Our warranty is in addition to your rights and remedies under Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for major failures and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to meet acceptable quality standards.

For services, if there is a major failure, you are entitled to:

Cancel your service contract with us and receive a refund for the unused portion or compensation for its reduced value.
For goods, if there is a major failure, you can choose a refund or replacement. For non-major failures, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done, you can receive a refund for the goods and cancel the service contract, obtaining a refund for the unused portion. Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage is also available.

Warranty Exceptions

The vehicle must be used normally, properly maintained, and used according to manufacturer guidelines.

Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear.

Any external interference with work carried out by Danbar Automotive will void the warranty.

Claims will not be accepted if incorrect or contaminated fuels, additives, lubricants, or coolants have been used, or if the vehicle has been involved in any motorsport, competition, or trial.

Warranty does not cover incidental loss or damage, including towing or loss of profits.

Making a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim, please contact the Danbar Automotive Service Centre where your work was carried out. Your vehicle will need to be returned to a Danbar Automotive Service Centre for assessment. Any repairs under a successful warranty claim will only be carried out by Danbar Automotive or an appointed warranty agent.
